Canada Day 2008

Unbelievable weather. 220 beautiful cars and around 300 people all participating in the Jellybean AutoCrafters Canada Day Car Show and Cruise is a memorable experience for many. We feel it was an awesome day that was enjoyed by all who participated.

It all started at our shop where we hosted an open house and gathered to prepare for our annual cruise. After enjoying the cars on hand and meeting lots of wonderful friends we headed for Cloverdale where we were invited by Surrey to do a parade through their official Canada Day celebration. It was an honor to be invited to parade over 200 incredible cars past the crowd of onlookers. The final destination of the cruise was the old Historical Langley Speedway where we arrived just after noon and we were able to enjoy some great food in an amazing setting. With a few old race cars on display and lots of pictures on hand of the former racing days when the track was in it's glory days. it didn't take long for stories of days gone by to be shared amount the attendees. The old pit area which is now covered in grass is an incredible place to be among such an array of admirable automobiles and meet people who love cars. Groups of people gathered with lawn chairs and shared a great setting and a remarkable day.

We are pleased to have hosted such an incredible event and want to thank all the volunteers. the Parks Board. the Lions Club for serving the food and the Langley Speedway Historical Society for preparing the facility for our guests. Thanks also to all who attended and helped make this Canada Day celebration such a great success.
